Today marks 28 days until Jonathan's first birthday! As cliche as it sounds, where has the time gone? As an over achiever and an anal Annie, I've already begun to plan for his party. Josh and I have decided that we are going to keep things relatively small, however once I created a list of only family members we were up to 30 people, easily! Though we don't quite have a theme I do have an idea for plates, napkins, and decorations. I've decided to make Jonathan's cake myself as to assure that it will meet my obnoxious standards. Chances are I still wont be happy because I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist. Regardless I'm sure it will be edable which is the most important part!
The one thing that I have spent little time thinking about is what to get him for gifts. The grandparents keep asking me what he needs and what they should get. It's difficult to think of what he needs because he really is all set on clothes and toys. Gifts aside, he'll have a smashing party and we'll have tons of memories!
We are scheduled to have Jonathan's one year pictures on November 13th at Bel Portraits (www.belportraits.com) in Winterport. I speak for both Josh and I when I say we are VERY excited! Bernie (the photographer) did both our wedding and newborn pictures and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about both experiences! I've already run a few ideas past Bernie and he too is excited. It's bound to be a good time! Check back to see the final outcome!
This is the best idea ever! I am so glad yall did this cuz now I can always find out whats going on with The Gunn Family's life. At least now I can learn about whats goin on without hoping Josh will answer his phone! ;-p j/k
