Finally, Friday has arrived! The weekends never sounded so good until I returned to work in August. Today was a workshop day for me at school which was nice. I'd like to say it was quiet but it was actually quite productive. Working in a high school guidance office, this is the time of year that I thrive on - College Application season! I love helping kids channel their interests and determine where it is they "think" they'd like to attend school. It's always fun to compare where they've applied, where they've been accepted and where they actually attend. It's always a good time!!
Sadly, Josh is scheduled to work this weekend - 8pm to 6am. It's not as bad as it sounds. Of all the shifts he works I would much rather have him work this one. I do prefer the 6am to 4pm shifts, however I know that these are not his favorite in terms of excitement. The 4pm to 2am shifts are hands down the worst shift. When he works the 4pm to 2am shifts he's always leaving before we're home and sleeping when we leave. Luckily, for my own sanity, Josh only works those shifts a total of 6 days each month, 3 of which Jonathan and I never see him. When Josh does get days off, they are 4-5 days in a row and equal out to be every other weekend. It's all worth it in the end!
I'm not exactly sure what Jonathan and I will do this weekend. It's homecoming at UMaine, so perhaps we will check out the craft fair. Otherwise we'll probably end up walking around the mall, visiting with the Grandparents, and if the weather is nice enough maybe we'll go swing at the park for a little bit.
Glad you have this blog all spiffed up! I see you took some of the gadgets from our blog (and found the awesome background site)... I'm flattered!
