Getting closer...

Both Josh and I were pleasantly surprised yesterday to see Jonathan walking along the kitchen/dinning room floor holding onto the computer chair. He had pulled it out into the middle of the floor and was gliding along, at a pretty fast clip too. On our floors the chair glides right along and he was keeping right up. Though Jonathan can take as long as he needs to prepare himself to walk, I'm convinced he's chicken in doing so. He'll walk with the assistance of objects (Ottoman, computer chair, music table) but he just doesn't have enough self-esteem to do it on his own which is common. Josh and I are both convinced though that when he does start walking he's going to be a bullet!!

  1. We thought the same thing about Lainey who didn't walk until she was 13 months. She would go as far as taking a few steps on her own and then nothing for a couple days. Some kids are like that... they won't do something until they are 100% confident in the ability because they don't want to fail. And once he starts he's going to be off like a bullet like you said! Enjoy that things are still slowing him down some now! ha! Maybe it will be his Christmas present to you this year!
