Happy Birthday Jesus!!

Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
*sigh* Where to begin? Christmas day has come and gone, like a flash. Jonathan was a superstar and slept until 7 am. This gave Josh a little time to put out the finishing "santa" touches. When the clock struck 8 am it was hold on. The Gunn family came over and the paper began to fly! Jonathan was, as always, the star of the show. He did really well. He didn't seem to get overwhelmed at all, rather he just became engrossed in certain gifts ignoring the others for moments in time. By 11 am we had finished the gifts and it was time for Josh to hit the hay. Jonathan and I ventured out to my Aunt Carol's for snacks and family fun. From there Jon and I trekked to visit Ryan and Matt - here Jonathan napped as I relaxed on the couch. We were home by 6:30 pm only to visit with Josh for a little bit before he headed back into work. Check out the pictures on our new flickr account.

This year was most definitely different than years past and I'm thankful that Jonathan isn't old enough to remember it. Okay, I take that back becuase I really wish Jonathan could remember a few things about the day, like when he got his red wagon or when he opened his stocking, but regardless, being apart from Josh on Christmas day was not thrilling. We'll take one for the team. Breaktfast with everyone was wonderfully delicious and engaging and I look forward to next year. Who knows, there could be another little Gunn by then :) Now there's food for thought!!
