Handbook

I learned quickly that there is no parenting hand book and I'm pretty sure that if one existed it would not be able to convey the amount of helplessness that one feels when their little ones are sick! Josh and I are feeling very frustrated and helpless these days. Set aside the fact that Jonathan has had his cough for 4 weeks now and that he has coughing fits that last 3-5 minutes, today he's been sick 8 times and counting. He's unable to hold anything down. Oddly enough he has no fever and he appears fine before and after these moments of sickness. Don't get me wrong, he's not quite lethargic but he is definitely not himself. Our PCP prescribed a nebulizer for his cough but today that's been the least of our problems. Here's hoping tonight's bedding stays dry and what little liquid is in Jon's belly stays put! Tomorrow's another day :) Did I mention Josh is a super good dad for picking him up from daycare and taking care of him all day?!
