Hallelujah! Amen! It does appear as if Mr. Jonathan is potty trained!! Bye-bye diapers, ta-ta pull ups and hello big boy underwear! This has been such a long day coming and thankfully, it looks as if the beginning of a new chapter is officially here.
Thursday morning after we all woke up I took off Jonathan's diaper and let him run around commando. He was obviously unsure of everything at first but without any prompting or convincing he would pop into the bathroom and out as he pleased, each time with success. We're still using pull-ups at nap and for long car rides (just in case) and diapers at night (this I don't see us getting rid of anytime soon). All together - 2 days down and 1 accident means mama's a happy girl!
I guess it's bittersweet. On one hand it means he's no longer my little man but on the other hand it's a new beginning of a big boy. I don't get too sentimental over new milestones but rather I am excited for the new chapters. I'm hoping he keeps up the progress while we're away in NH in a few weeks and I especially hope someone (daddy) can remain patient while I'm away for 8 days! I would hate to see any regression, selfishly of course, but I have faith that Jonathan will continue to impress us both!!
