Memories for Mama

Throughout the long Memorial Day weekend, I was reminded of how wonderfully precious and greatly blessed my life is!

My highlights include:

* Watching Jonathan investigate his new surroundings at the campground Saturday/Sunday and the amusement that he got from the simplest, homemade toys (pots, pans, and boccie balls)

* Looking in my review mirror on the ride home and seeing the reflection of Jonathan fast asleep, pacifier in mouth, and warm fuzzy pajamas on - so peaceful!

* The excitement and joy that he had while playing at the park all on his own, wondering back and forth from swing to slide and his little waving hand and smile as we said "bye-bye" to the park

* Giggles and grins as he chased bubbles around the front lawn, watching them float from left to right, up and down

* Sweet snuggles and smells as we watched Jon & Kate Plus 8 and shared a [sandwich] bag of Cheerios

* Joyful clapping and genuine waves as we watched and thanked the Veterans during the Memorial Day parade - oh how he loves parades!

It's nights, weekends, and moments like we had that reminds me of just how precious and wonderful life truly is! Jonathan reminds me to take everything in as we never know what the future may hold. He reminds me to be thankful for the good days and the bad [which we all have, no matter how old]. He reminds me to step back from being an adult and look at the world through a his eyes. He reminds us [Josh and I] of how wonderful God's grace can be an how truly blessed we are as a family!!

I hope you enjoyed your long Memorial Day weekend as much as we did! What will you remember the most?
